Alma Blanche Coursey, 89, of Russellville, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

She was born in Bowling Green Dec. 8, 1922, a daughter of the late S.E. Childress and the late Carrie Childress. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coursey was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Coursey.

Mrs. Coursey was a homemaker and a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. at the Price Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Chandlers Cemetery. Visitation began Monday, Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Taylor of Russellville and Sue Sweeney of Clifty; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
