Dear Editor: Sharing Christmas- Soldier's Family Christmas

As a way of helping to ease the stress as well the financial burden on the families of those soldiers who are at war serving our Country, we are asking everyone to open up their hearts and share a little bit of Christmas with a soldier's family this year.

While you are doing your Christmas shopping for your own family consider purchasing an extra toy or two, some canned goods or other non-perishable food items to be donated to the Soldier's Family Christmas. Cash donations will also be very welcomed as it will be used to purchase turkeys and canned foods so that the families will have a nice Christmas dinner.

We ask that all donations be in by Dec. 17th. There will be at least four locations where items can be dropped off. Please make sure all toys are wrapped with a tag on the outside of the package designating it to be for a boy or girl and the appropriate age group. All cash donations should be in a sealed envelope with “Soldier's Family Christmas” written on the outside of the envelope. To be eligible for a tax write-off, make your checks payable to “Agape for Soldier's Christmas.”
