The Logan County High School football team suffered a setback Friday night at Muhlenberg South.

The Cougars dropped their second game of the year with a 47-7 loss in Greenville.

In the first week of the season, Logan County lost 33-18 to Butler County.

The loss to the Suns is a big turnaround from last year. In 2007, Logan County beat Muhlenberg South 32-7.

The win improved the Suns record to 2-0.

Logan County (0-2) will try to get its first win of the season this week at Class 2A Metcalfe County.

Metcalfe County is 1-1 so far this season. The Hornets beat Barren County 28-21 the first week, but lost 57-30 on Friday night to Somerset.

The game against Metcalfe County is the first of two more contests before Logan County begins play in Class 4A, District 2.

The Cougars host Todd County Central next week before opening district play Sept. 26 at Russell County.
