The latest DaVinci Code is yet another attempt to cloud peoples views and belief systems about Jesus Christ. This piece of fiction mixes facts with falsehood to somehow trick society and its skeptic nature into thinking a conspiracy has taken place involving the early church and its so called cover up of important documents that depict the marriage of Jesus to Mary Magdalene and claim a child was born out of that union.
What is most disturbing about the fictional story is its predatorily nature and its seemingly intentional objective to persuade argument where no more than faith is needed.
The story, which Hollywood recently brought to the big screen, irresponsibly contradicts the Bible while quoting some of its teachings in the turn of a page. I am not educated on the thoughts or belief system which spawned author Dan Brown to write such a piece, but I do believe I am perceptive about a movement disguising itself as entertainment to sneak into the subconscious of those souls who may be susceptible to proposition. This in no way reflects my determination on Brown, as I do not know why he wrote the book.
Christians, however, need to realize this is inconsequential and continue to rely on their faith which God has promised all who do a place with Him. We should see this as an opportunity to spread God's word and assure all of those who feel there must be something else going on or some hidden meaning kept from the human race that it is God who is in control of all things. It is God who will deliver His promises to all who choose the truth and not someone's rendition of it.
