13-year-old injured in collision

A collision between two vehicles at the intersection of U.S. 68 Bypass and KY 178 left one person injured. The accident occurred Thursday, Jan. 5 when Hollis Cary of Glasgow, was turning left onto KY 178.

According to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff's Department, Cary turned in front of a vehicle driven by Douglas McClelland of Russellville and McClelland was unable to avoid hitting Cary's vehicle. McClelland's passenger, 13-year-old Kelsey McClelland, received minor injuries and was taken to Logan Memorial Hospital.

Cary's vehicle sustained minor damage and McClelland's sustained severe damage. All occupants were wearing their seat belts.
