Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 19 in Cary, Ill. Burial was held Aug. 20 in the Wind Ridge Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Helen Smith.
Surviving are his wife, Muriel Smith of Waukegan, Ill.; his son, Bruce Steven Smith of Carpentersville, Ill.; his daughters, Linda Brown of Blythesville, Ark., Sherry Hartwig of Waukegan, Ill., Kim Wytke of Shilor Park, Ill., and Cindy Victoria of Waukegan, Ill.; his brothers, Billy Smith of Greenville and Bobby Smith of Dunmor: his sisters, Reba Shook of Lebanon, Tenn. and Martha Jones of Russellville; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
