Fred Dwight Meagher, of Bowling Green, died Friday, March 18, 2005 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Funeral services were March 21 at J.C. Kirby & Sons , Lover's Lane Chapel. Burial followed in the Bowling Green Gardens.

Mr. Meagher was born in Centralia, Ill. on March 18, 1925. Mr. Meagher was C.E.O. of Discount Distributors, Inc. and co-owner and founder of Cuzzin Jack's Discount Stores. He was also a baptist and veteran of WWII "D" Day in Normandy, northern France, Rhineland and central Europe.

Preceding Mr. Meagher in death are his parents, Thomas Meagher and Cora Seals Meagher.

Surviving Mr. Meagher are his wife, Edith Warren Meagher, of Bowling Green; two sons, Gary Meagher of Bowling Green and Roger Meagher and wife Jennifer of Coppell, Tx.; four daughters, Jan Hampton and husband Bruce of Bowling Green, Cheryl Martin of Bowling Green, Kimberly Law and husband Kevin of Carmel, Ind., and Nancy Hagen and husband Shawn of Kalamazoo, Mich.; his four sisters, Mary Crockett of Scottsdale, Ariz., Anna Hoskinson of Anaheim, Ca., Margaret Miller and husband Bob of Centralia, Ill., and Vernie Bagley and husband Pete of Marietta, Ga.; 14 grandchildren, Laura Dinning and husband Brian, Van Meagher, Melissa Davenport and husband Mac, Erin Hampton, Nick Hampton, Connor, Savannah, Clay Hagen, Jonathan Meagher, Jeremy, Chris, Caroline Law, Kyle and Megan Goodwin; three great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Cole, and Chase Dinning; and several nieces and nephews.
