Mother's Day at Plainview
The WMS at Plainview General Baptist will be honoring all mothers with a special lunch on Sunday, May 9 in the church fellowship building after the morning worship services. WMS will furnish the meat and the rest will be potluck. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. and morning worship begins at 11 a.m. The special Mothers Day lunch will begin immediately following these services.
Union District Women in White
The Union District Women in White observance will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Russellville on Sunday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Homecoming at Cliff Hill
Homecoming will be observed at Cliff Hill Church on Sunday, May 16 with preaching at 11 a.m. by the Reverend Mickey Travis. A potluck dinner will follow the worship service. A singing at 1:30 p.m. will feature the Spiritual Echoes. Donations will be accepted for cemetery upkeep.
Auburn Baptist Relay steak dinner
The Auburn Baptist Church Relay for Life Team is having a steak dinner at Auburn Baptist Church on Sunday, May 23 at 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The adult menu will be Steak, Potato, Salad, Dessert, and Drink and the price will be $8. The Children's Menu is hot dog, chips, dessert, and drink for $3.50. All donations and contributions go to the American Cancer Society. Tickets are not being sold; however, reservations are required. Concert at First Baptist
The Young Musicians of First Baptist Church on South Main Street in Russellville will present their annual spring concert, entitled "Cross Country," on Sunday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. This delightful program featuring young people in the first through sixth grades is once again under the direction of Polly Sansom.
Brotherhood Rally at Middleton
Middleton Baptist Church will have a Brotherhood Rally May 15 with the first session at 5 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. with a meal in between. Bryan Hill of Whitehouse, Tenn., who has just returned from Africa on a mission trip, will give testimony as will Doug Marklin. Other speakers will be Bro. Bobby Forshee of Grace Baptist Church and Bro. Winston Roberts of Blackjack Baptist Church. All Christian men are welcome to attend.
Three generations at Green Ridge
Men from three generations of one family will speak over a three-day period at Green Ridge Baptist Church May 14-16. Seth York will speak at 7 p.m. on Friday, Hershael York at 7 p.m. Saturday and Wallace York at 11 a.m. The Green Ridge Baptist Church Choir Choir will present a musical message of encouragement, "God for us," Sunday at 6 p.m.
Woodlawn Baptist homecoming
Homecoming will be held at Woodlawn Baptist Church on May 16. Bro. Jim Dugas, a former pastor, will preach at the Morning Worship Service. After a potluck lunch, the Crossmen Quartet of Morgantown will sing at 1:30.
Benefit singing for Emma Spivey
A benefit singing for Emma Rhea Burchett Spivey will be held at Pentecostal Chapel Church, 5523 Franklin Road on Friday, May 7 at 7 p.m.. She is undergoing chemotherapy treatments for cancer and is faced with extra expenses. Singers from the area will be featured.
Mighty Clouds of Joy

Revival at Macedonia
Macedonia Baptist Church will have its annual Youth Revival on May 19, 20 and 21. The speaker for each night will be the Rev. Chris Whitney from Stoney Point Baptist Church.

The American Red Cross is having a bloodmobile at Living Word Church in Adairville Friday, May 21 from 1-6 p.m. Food and fellowship will be available.
