SES and RMS Schools host a dance artist-in-residence

Kim Corwin, a dancer with the Becky Brown Dance Machine in Nashville, Tenn. has been an artist-in-residence at both Stevenson Elementary School and Russellville Middle School for the past month.

She has led four separate dance classes for eligible fourth graders at Stevenson elementary and for eligible fifth through eighth graders at Russellville Middle School.

All students who participated in the dance classes are identified as gifted in visual and performing arts.

Students learned and practiced a contemporary dance routine and then performed the routine for the Stevenson Elementary School student body on Friday, March 19.

The program was funded by a grant award which was coordinated by Samra Smith.
