He was born in Logan County on Dec. 6, 1911, a son of the late Henry and Rebecca Huggins O'Brien. In addition to his parents, Mr. O'Brien was preceded in death by his wife, Louise O'Brien.
Mr. O'Brien was retired from Emerson Electric. He was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 23 in Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Bro. Dale Etheridge officiating. Burial followed in the Berea Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Timmy Bilyeu, Clay Bilyeu, Kenneth Goley, Ronnie Dotson, Bobby Smith, and James Cornelius.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Thomas of Russellville; seven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
