Zita Nichoel Pedigo graduated in May 2003 from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Textiles/Apparel Merchandising and a minor in Consumer and Family Science.

While attending Western, Pedigo became a member of Phi Mu sorority and held the office of Pledge/New member director. She also is a member of the Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Society and a White Rose little sister of Sigma Nu Fraternity. She served as club historian of Fashion, Inc., and was a 2002 Homecoming Queen Candidate.

During her junior and senior years, she was elected as a representative of Western's Fashion Advisory Board as well as serving on Western Kentucky University student recruitment board by participating and having active roles in recruitment videos, speaking to University guests and demonstrating class and campus involvement in accordance to a particular area or major.

Pedigo also completed internships at Victoria Secret and American Eagle Outfitters. She is currently employed by the University of Kentucky in Simpson County as a County Extension agent of 4-H/Youth Development Intern.

Nichoel Pedigo plans to return to Western Kentucky University this fall to pursue a graduate degree.

She is the daughter of Terry and Mary Pedigo of Russellville.
