On March 20 at 3:22 p.m. the Logan County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the intersection of U.S. 68 and Stevenson Mill Road to a collision.
Investigating officers say a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer had been traveling west on U.S. 68, driven by Brenda Goodwin, when a Suzuki four-wheeler driven by Coyle Willhite, 15, pulled out in front of Goodwin, causing the Blazer to strike the four-wheeler, causing it to overturn.
Willhite was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital were he was pronounced dead at 4:03 p.m. He was not wearing a helmet at the time.
Goodwin was not injured.
Sheriff Wallace Whitaker is investigating the collision, assisted by Dep. Matthews and Capt. McGee of the Sheriff's Department.
KVE officer George Offutt, Auburn Rural Fire Department, and Med Center EMS all responded.
