She was born in Todd County on Sept. 7, 1919, a daughter of the late James Wilson and Ollie Marshall Hurt. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Richard Reed.
Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Fairview.
Funeral services were held March 3 at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, with the Rev. Bobby Biggs, Jim Dugas and Ron Hicks officiating. Burial followed in the Stokes Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hester of Hopkinsville; her son, Edward Reed of Fairview; her sister, Gladys Silvy of Elkton; her brother, Clarence Hurt of Fairview; and two grandchildren.
