Bethel 'Beck' Eugene Martin, 60, of Adairville, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 in North Crest Medical center in Springfield, Tenn.

He was born in Adairville on Oct. 29, 1942, a son of Rosia Evans Martin and the late Thomas Martin.

Mr. Martin was a line man at Emerson Electric in Russellville. He was a member of Townsend Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, treasurer, brotherhood, and on the cemetery committee. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #34.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 18 in Townsend Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. James Glover officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rosie Martin of Adairville; his son, Robbie Eugene Nichols of Adairville; his daughters, Partia C. Osborne of Adairville, Regina 'Frannie' Blann of Russellville, and Kimberly Davis of Norcross, Ga.; his brothers, the Rev. William Martin of Adairville and James Martin of Springfield, Tenn.; his sister, Ruthie McGuire of Russellville; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
