Viola Reid Parker, 74, of Russellville, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002 in Logan Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Logan County on Jan. 31, 1928, a daughter of the late Albert Young Reid and Esther May Kohl. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Parker.

Mrs. Parker was a member of Stevenson Chapel United Methodist Church, a volunteer for the Logan County Hospital Auxiliary, and a very active member of the Russellville Senior Center.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 27 at memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Lyons officiating. Burial followed in Russellville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Keith Batchelor, Barry Grise, Robert Imlay, Jeffrey Johnson, Glenn Higdon, and Robert Griffin. Honorary pallbearers were the Ambassadors of Stevenson Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Charles Michael Parker of Russellville; her brother, Ralph 'Joe' Reid of Pontiac, Mich.; her sister, Ruth Goad of Russellville; her granddaughters, Rachel Parker Imlay and Carla Parker, and her great-grandchildren, Jordan and Madison Imlay.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stevenson Chapel United Methodist Church.
