Tom Mimms Paine, Sr., 76, Guthrie died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002 at his home following a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held at Guthrie Baptist Church beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time for the funeral. Burial will take place in Highland Cemetery, Guthrie with the Revs. John Richard Christian, Harold Rose and Dave Brown officiating. Cook-Webb Funeral Home, Guthrie is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Todd County, he was born July 2, 1926, the son of the late William B. and Elizabeth Rosson Paine.

He was a retired architect and a World War II Veteran of the Navy. He was a member of Guthrie Baptist Church where he served as deacon and was past secretary of the Kentucky State Board of Architect.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine Porter Paine, Guthrie; a son, Tom Mimms Paine Jr., Fernandia Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Mary Buck, Clarksville, Tenn., Angela Warren, Olmstead and Susan Paine, Guthrie; a brother, William Barker Paine, Jr., Louisville; a sister, Elizabeth Rosson Paine Pippin, Guthrie and five grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Pennyrile Hospice Inc., in Hopkinsville.
