Easton Wade Griffin, 11 weeks, of Elkton, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at the Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville.

Easton was born May 27, in Hopkinsville, a son of Justin and Wendy Shumate Griffin of Elkton.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Heflin and his paternal great-grandmother, Rebecca Shumate.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 18 in the chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Reverend Phillip Brumfield officiating. Burial followed in the Glenwood Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, Easton is survived by his paternal grandparents, Wade and April Griffin of Elkton and Kim Cannon of Hopkinsville; his maternal grandparents, Patricia Shumate and Ricky and Charlene Shumate, all of Elkton; his paternal great-grandparents, Jewell Griffin of Elkton and Patricia Adkins of Crofton; his maternal great-grandparent, Gather Heflin of Clarksville, Tenn., and his paternal great-grandparent, Frank Shumate of Elkton.
