He was born in Elkton June 7, 1943, a son of the late Maceo Leavell and the late Willie Elizabeth Payne.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 22 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Elkton with Reverend Phillip Suber officiating. Burial will follow in the Elkton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22 from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. at the church.
He is survived by his daughter, Mirrian Anderson of Atlanta, Ga.; his son, Owen Ventrell Leavell of Elkton; his sisters, Anita Young of Nashville, Tenn. and Betty Leavell and Kathy Williams, both of Elkton; his brothers, Robert Sydnor and Earl Sydnor, both of Elkton and Victor Leavell, Dell Lyton and Tyrone Majors, all of Washington, D.C., and five grandchildren.
