On May 1st the Logan County FFA chapter held its annual awards banquet at the Logan County extension office where previous officers stepped down, new officers were inducted and many awards were given away.

The banquet began at 4:30 with over 300 in attendance where president, Robyn Estes, presided over the meeting and oversaw one hundred and sixty-two awards being given away. After the many awards starting with parliamentary procedure team to outstanding freshman, were given away the FFA alumni presented nine active members scholarship money as a token of their gratitude for all that these seniors do for their club. The FFA alumni have been awarding scholarships to active FFA members for the past ten years and in total have awarded over 60,00 dollars in scholarship money.

This year nine active FFA members and officers who were awarded these scholarships included Robyn Estes, Hunter Boswell, Keith Richey, Jacob Hopkins, Jon Keith Smith, Justin Hopkins, Cotton Hazel, Bailey Scott, and Brianna Scott. All of these students worked hard to earn their scholarships and were chosen based upon their applications and level activity in the FFA

We are very grateful not only for these active FFA members but also for our generous alumni who were gracious enough to give scholarships to all those who had earned them. If you are interested in becoming a part of your local FFA alumni contact the LCHS FFA department so next year you may be recognized as one of these gracious members of your local alumni.
