Rose Arnold Rainwaters, 92, of Russellville, died Monday, April 18, 2011, at Logan Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Decatur, Ill. March 3, 1919, a daughter of the late Raymond and Louise Young Kirgan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rainwaters was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Gish Arnold Sr.

Mrs. Rainwaters was retired from the Russellville School System where she worked in food service in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 21 in Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Charles Roney and Andrew Phillips officiating. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roger Arnold, Ron Arnold, Colton Arnold, Gary Arnold, Jimmy Prince and Tom Mackey.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Rainwaters of Russellville; her sons, Gish Arnold Jr. and wife Vivian and Tony Arnold and wife Vickie, all of Russellville; her step-son, Roger Rainwaters and wife Linda of Russellville; her brothers, Ray Kirgan and David Kirgan, both of Illinois and Clifford Kirgan of Florida; her sisters, Ana Elliott and Helen Nance, both of Illinois; her grandsons, Roger Arnold and wife Tonya of Belton and Ron Arnold and wife Kim of O’Fallon, Mo.; three step-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
