He was born in Garrard County March 19, 1939, a son of the late Stanley O. and Betty Jo Hammonds Clark. In addition to hisd parents, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his bother, David Clark.
Mr. Clark had been a funeral director and embalmer since 1962 and was a longtime employee of Ramsey Funeral Home. He was a member of the Nicholasville Presbyterian Church, was a graduate of the Kentucky School of Embalming, a member of Lancaster Lodge #104, Franklin Lodge #7, all York Rite Bodies, Oleika Shrine Temple, International Order of Odd Fellows, was a former Lancaster City Council member, was a member of the Lancaster Jaycees, and had been the executive director of the Housing Authority of Lancaster for 25 years.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 23 at Ramsey Funeral Home with Reverend Pamela Rucker, Dr. Jim Rucker and reverend Don Burton officiaiting. Burial followed in the Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbeares were Melvin Bailey, Jack Bailey II, J.K. Simpson, Jeff Hester, Jeff Moss, Rusty Sebastian, Aaron Marsee and Joe Leavell. Honorary pallbeares were Don Hammonds, David Gay, Joe Montgomery, Leonard Smith, Ray Hammonds, Dr. Steven Green, Billy Mack Hedrick, Clay Clark, Ken Parsons, Caywood Metcalfe and John David Friend.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Duerson Clark; his son, Rusty Clark and wife Raye Ann of Russellville; his daughter, Bonnie Long of Lancaster; his sister, Judy Reichenbach and husband Roy of Stanford; his grandchildren, Trevor and Molly Clark and Blake Long, and his sisters-in-law, Harriett Ray of Lancaster, Bobbie Jean Long and husband Helton of Florida and Judy Hullett and husband Mark G. of Lancaster.
