He was born in Robertson County, Tenn. March 7, 1923, a son of the late William Dotson and the late Kathryn Orene Wilson Dotson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dotson was preceded in death by his son, Danny Dotson.
Mr. Dotson was a World War II Army veteran and was retired from Unarco Steel Company. He was a member of the Keysburg Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Dripping Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Travis Steward, Trevor Steward, Scott Deese, Gregory Elliott, Jeremy Dotson and Joey Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Jackson Dotson of Springfield, Tenn.; his daughters, Kathy Deese and husband Russell of Liberty, Tenn. and Cindy Steward and husband Richard of Lewisburg; his brother, Bud Dotson of Knoxville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
