If you’ve ever driven by some of the beautiful homes in downtown Russellville and longed to see the inside you’ll have a chance to do that Saturday during the Christmas Historic Homes Tour.

“All the houses are absolutely beautiful,” said Margeret Humble, of the Logan County Garden Club.

The event is sponsored by Main Street Russellville and the garden club.

Homes on tour are the homes of Lillian and Donnie Riley, Roy Gill, Pat and Bill McCoy, and Judy and Tom Harned as well as the the Bibb House.

Humble said all the homes were already decorated and the garden club members were putting the finishing touches on the Bibb House Thursday.

“The garden club is decorating and having an open house at the Bibb House,” Humble explained. They have refreshments there including cookies made from recipes in their cookbook, which will be for sale.

There will also be a silent auction at the Bibb House with proceeds going to the garden club’s scholarship fund.

Tours will take place Saturday, December 11 from 1 to 5 p.m. and tickets are $8 in advance and $10 the day of the tours. Tickets are on sale at Riley-White, Kentucky Artisans at the Saddle Factory, the Logan County Chamber and the Bethel Branch of First Southern.

For more information, call Main Street Russellville at 270-726-1303.
