Mrs. Harper was born Jan. 6, 1931 in Logan County, a daughter of the late Charles Otis Spencer and Emma Etta Spencer. She was retired from the production line at Emerson Electric and was a member of New Hope General Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Otis Harper, and two daughters, Martha Marguerite Harper and an infant.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 27 at Price Funeral Home with Bro. David Youngblood officiating. Burial followed at Arnold Cemetery in Lewisburg.
Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband, Harding Harper of Lewisburg; her daughters, Melba Ewing of Lewisburg, Nelda Taylor of Fairdale, Wilda Hutchison of Adairville, and Hilda Arnold of Russellville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
