The Olmstead High School Class of 1960 held their 50th Reunion on Sept. 18, 2010, at Ray Bones Restaurant in Russellville. Twenty-four classmates attended. Each one received a book marker in remembrance of the special day. A time of fellowship was enjoyed from 5 to 6 p.m. Curtis Watkins asked the blessing over a delicious meal prepared by the restaurant. Peggy Martin Harris spoke a few minutes and gave each class member a chance to tell something about themselves. A prize was given to Donnie Rigsby Schuler traveling the longest distance from San Diego, Calif. The table were decorated with orange and black tablecloths and orange and black balloons. The balloons were later released in honor and memory of those who couldn’t attend. There were many pictures of the past and even some ‘50s music. Everyone enjoyed the time together and voted to meet again in three years.
