Chandler’s School held its second annual Student Showcase on May 26th. Approximately 350 students and parents were in attendance at the event designed to give students an opportunity to share their work with their families. One of the highlights from the evening was the first grade zoo. First graders had worked diligently in the month of May to turn their classrooms into zoo replicas. In the process, students learned about science topics such as habitats and climate and also incorporated the zoo into their reading and writing lessons. Fifth grade classes presented a mock trial that related to their Social Studies content. The Robotics Team members showcased the robot they had worked with this year. Middle school students participated in a poetry tournament. Winners included Lauren Pollard, Jada Lewis, and Gracie Richey. Additionally, each classroom displayed student work and projects. The Chandler’s Band closed the evening with a well-attended performance. Staff members are grateful for the students and families who participated.
