The Lady Cougars have started to string together some wins after battling back and forth this season. With the exception of a 7-1 loss to the Region 5-leading Hart County Lady Raiders (22-5) on Monday, Logan County has won four in a row. Three of those were important district wins.

On Tuesday, the Lady Cougars played at Todd County for the first time since winning the district tournament there last season. They carried that past momentum to Elkton for a 10-2 win. The score was knotted at zero each until Logan County got the bats going in the third inning. Rosie Kerchenski drew a walk after the first two batters struckout. Brea Croslin smacked a double, advancing Kerchenski to third. Rosie would then score on a wild pitch, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.

Sydney Lee led off the fourth with a double on the second pitch she saw. Abby Canler got the RBI on a sacrifice. Presley Harris hit an infield single that would lead to another run in the top of the fifth. Jillian McLellan sacrificed to score Harris. In the bottom of the inning, the Lady Rebels scored their only two runs of the game to make it 3-2, Logan County.

The top of the sixth would decide the game. The Lady Cougars added five more in the inning to take a comfortable 8-2 lead with only one inning to go. The final was 10-2.

Brea Croslin had two hits in the win. Presley Harris had two singles and an RBI. Jillian McLellan knocked in three runs. Logan County committed seven errors in the game.

Abby Hinton threw the complete game. She had three strikeouts, allowed zero earned runs on four hits.

On Wednesday, The Lady Rebels played the Lady Cougars in Logan County. The final was 12-2 in favor of the home team. Sydney Lee was the starting pitcher for Logan County.

The Lady Cougars (9-9) will play at Cumberland County over the weekend for the R. Fred Capps Memorial Tournament.

The Russellville Lady Panthers played at Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday. The Lady Cats won the game 10-0. The Lady Panthers are on the road Friday to face the Barren County Lady Trojanettes (16-5.)
