Panthers win district games

The Panthers played the last district games of the regular season on Friday. The boys/girls double header took place at Todd County Central High School. Both Panther teams picked up wins against the Rebels.

The boys (18-9) beat the Rebels (9-15) 78-59. The Panthers go into the district tournament as the number two seed. They will play Todd County again in the opening round on February 21st. The district tournament will be at Franklin-Simpson High School.

The Lady Panthers (9-17) beat the Lady Rebels (6-20) 56-42 on Friday. They will play Logan County in the opening round of the tournament on the 21st as well.

Up next for Russellville, a trip to Bowling Green High School on Tuesday. The Purples are (26-2) this season. The Lady Purples (19-7) will host the Lady Panthers in the first game with the boys to follow.
