Panthers off to great start

The Lady Panthers picked up a win against Caldwell County on Tuesday. The home win of 46-45 put Russellville at (3-3) on the year. Loreal Cheaney put up another team-high 21 points in the win. Gabbi Poirier scored ten. Cheaney also pulled down ten rebounds. On Friday, the Lady Panthers will play at Barren County.

The Panthers are now (4-1) on the season. On Monday, they defeated powerhouse Hopkinsville in Russellville. The Hopkinsville Tigers have only two losses on the year so far. Bowling Green beat them 82-57 on December 9th, and the Panthers won 69-65 on Monday. Micah Naylor collected 22 points in the winning effort. Jacob Naylor and Pedro Bradshaw each scored 12. Bradshaw pulled down ten rebounds, and Jaylyn McMurry snagged nine. The Panthers will participate in the Henry Clay Holiday Tournament starting on December 20th.
