Cougars fall to Lakers

The Logan County High School football team lost its final Class 4A, District 1 game of the year on Friday, falling 34-18 to Calloway County.

The loss dropped the Cougars to 0-9 on the year, with their last chance to end their historic losing streak coming this Friday night at Todd County Central.

Against the Lakers, freshman Grady Hardy led Logan County in rushing with 59 yards and one touchdown on 15 attempts. Quarterback Tyler Ezell ran the ball 11 times for 33 yards. He also completed seven of 15 pass attempts with one touchdown and one interception to go along with 103 yards.

Lorenzo Garcia hauled in two passes for 55 yards – including a touchdown. Dontavius Blann finished with four receptions for 42 yards. He also had an interception which he returned for 46 yards.

Logan County plays its final game of the year Friday night in Elkton against Todd Central. The Rebels are also winless this season and are coming off a 56-26 loss to Butler County.
