A pair of Russellville High School football players recently signed to play next season for Campbellsville University.
Josh Bigbee and Truston Clayton both signed with Campbellsville this summer and will play college football this coming season.
“Josh and Truston were vital to our success over the past four years,” said RHS coach John Myers. “During those four years they were a part of 38 wins, two regional runners up, a district championship and this past year’s regional championship.”
This past season, the Panthers went 11-3 before losing to Beechwood by just one touchdown in the semifinals of the state tournament.
“I am very proud of these guys on more levels than just football,” Myers said. “They both have an excellent work ethic and a drive to succeed. Campbellsville University is getting two quality young men and they will represent RHS in a positive manner. I wish them the best of luck.”
According to Myers, Bigbee will mostly likely play offense in college – either as a running back or slot receiver, while Clayton will play on the defensive line.
