Macy Meacham made numerous plays at third base during the season. Meacham will return as a senior in 2017.

The stat sheets for the 2016 Lady Panthers shows fairly even mix of wins and losses. What the stat sheets will not show for the season is the amount of fight and determination that this Lady Panther softball team brought to the field each night. Coach Calvin Head inherited a team that went (11-17) in 2015. His job was to improve upon that record. Coach Head did just that. The Lady Panthers finished the season with a (15-20) record. The 15 wins were the most in program history. The Lady Panthers only won six total games from 2010 to 2014. The softball team is finally trending in the right direction. The 2017 season should be exciting for Lady Panther softball fans. Every player but one will be back to continue the climb out of the past losing seasons. Johnea Pendleton was the only senior on the 2016 team.

The Lady Panthers played one game in the 13th district tournament this season. Franklin-Simpson won the game 10-0 at Todd County.
