The Russellville Lady Panthers lost a game to the tough McClean County Lady Cougars, 48-64, on Tuesday, January 5, at Jim Young Gymnasium.

The Lady Panthers shot 30% from the field and 68% of their free throws in the game. DaVonya Bryant led the team in scoring with 14 points (that includes three 3-pt baskets). Loreal Cheaney added 13 and Tiffany Gray scored 10 points. Gray co-leader in rebounds for the game; she and Cheaney each had six.

The win puts the Region 3 McClean team at 11-4 overall and a third place in the Region 3 standings.

With the loss, the Lady Panthers drop to 9-6 overall and into seventh place in the Region 4 standings.

The Lady Panthers have yet to win a game on their home court this season. Next week, on Friday, January 15, Russellville will have its fifth opportunity to win at home when District 13 rival Franklin-Simpson comes to town. Between now and then, however, the Lady Panthers travel to Northeast H.S in Clarksville, TN and Fort Campbell.
