Russellville High School swimmer Kate Bouldin became the first class of 2016 signee with Campbellsville University on Wednesday.

In a ceremony in the RHS Media Center, Kate was joined by her parents, current coach, Toni Hall, and about two dozen other coaches, teammates, family, and friends for the event.

Campbellsville swim Head Coach, Casey Smith, made the trip to Russellville and spoke highly of Ms. Boldin. “When (the coaching staff and I) saw Kate swim, we knew she would be a great fit with the team,” she said during the event.

Many of the people at the event were moved to tears with the success of Kate and the opportunity for her continuing her love of swimming into the college level.

Kate’s mother and father, glowingly proud, looked on and listened as several members of the swim team offered congratulations to Kate. When asked how she felt about, Kate’s success, her mom said, “Tickled.”
