This Friday night, October 23, the Logan County Cougars return home to face the Calloway County Lakers in both teams’ final District game of the season.

The Lakers have a 4-4 overall record and are 2-1 in District play. The Cougars are 0-8 and are 0-3 in District play.

Both of these team are coming off losing in shutout games. Last week the Lakers lost 0-37 to Hopkinsville and the Cougars lost 0-41 to Madisionville North-Hopkins.

In Class 4A District 1, the Hopkinsville Tigers have secured the District title and the Lakers and Cougars will finish at the bottom.

This game is important for both teams, though, as both want to put one-sided losses behind them and go into next week’s final regular season game of the year with some swagger.

This is the 2015 Homecoming game for the Cougars. It is the finale of a week-long celebration at LCHS. Before the game Homecoming Court will take place and following the game a Homecoming dance is planned.
