The Logan County Cougars visited the Madisonville-North Hopkins Marrons on Friday night. The Cougars could not get a foothold on the Maroons and lost the game 0-41.
The loss was the second district game the Cougars had lost in as many weeks.
Next the Cougars will host Calloway County. The 4-4 Lakers will be coming to LCHS for the Cougars’ Homecoming game. Calloway County will be coming in after a 0-37 shutout by powerhouse Hopkinsville this past weekend as well.
While the Lakers will be hungry for a win, the Cougars must be nearly starved.
The Cougars have not won a game since October 12, 2012 (that’s three years).
When the Cougars visited Hopkins County Central in late September, they couldn’t quite close the deal losing the game 12-13. Though they did not taste victory, be sure that Head Coach Steve Duncan got his men close enough to the kitchen to smell it cooking.
Cougar Nation is no doubt disappointed about the last couple weeks’ outcomes. But all hope that Homecoming week will be the secret ingredient needed to a much anticipated victory meal for the Cougars and their fans
