Two arrested for theft at USA Fuel

Two people were arrested this week after an investigation into a theft at USA Fuel in Russellville last month, according to a report from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.Sharon J. McClain, 54, of Bismark Lane in Russellville,was arrested on Wednesday and charged with theft by unlawful taking (over $500). The arrest was the result of a theft investigation of an incident that occurred at USA Fuel on June 24. Bobby G. Logan, 36, of West 5th Street in Russellville, was previously charged with the same crime after he was captured on video removing money from the business’s safe.Both McClain and Logan were employees of USA Fuel at the time of the arrest.


Magistrate make changes to county pay plan

Kentucky Artisans at the Saddle Factory is pleased to announce the 2014 Amateur Artists’ Boot Camp.This exciting camp will be held July 18th-19th, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Saddle Factory Museum Annex and will feature classes in a variety of mediums in an effort to introduce amateur artists to many different types of art. Logan County students attend Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders

Logan County high school juniors Wesley Estes and Wes Hadden recently returned home from Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL). They joined 90 other high school students from around the state to attend the five-day summer leadership conference. Hadden participated in the IFAL conference held June 15-19 at Murray State University. Estes attended an identical IFAL conference held June 22-26 at the University of Kentucky.
