Panthers defeat Rebels; Cougars fall to Wildcats
The Russellville Panthers and the Logan County Cougars played in district games on Tuesday night. The Logan County Cougars have had a very successful weekend. The Cougars earned three wins over Allen-County Scottsville, Butler County and Caverna. Logan County High School hosted their Pink Out games on Tuesday to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Russellville Panthers faced the Caverna Colonels on Monday night. The Panthers played hard and won the game 10-7. Russellville Parks and Recreation wrapped up its spring soccer season last week. This was the third season the league has used the new fields at the Russellville Athletic Complex off Armory Drive. This year the league had a record number of teams in both the 6-and-under and 9-and-under age divisions. Teams began practicing in late February and started playing games in March.
