The Logan County Lady Cougars volleyball team ended Tuesday’s night match with a huge win. The Lady Cougars won 2-0 (25-2, 25-8) against visiting Todd County Central in the first District 14 match of the season.

“The girls stayed focused which was important in a game like tonight,” said coach Steve Lyne. “We were able to play everybody so that was good.”

Lyne said the girls are getting along great and forming into a good team together. To help keep the girls focused on their goal, Lyne had the girls write down their “why” and keep it in front of them to remind them why they are playing. He asked the girls three questions. If not why, then what. If not today, then when. And if not you, then who.

“I want the girls to stayed focused on their goal, which is to take this as far as they want to go,” said Lyne. “They need to focus on today and on winning.”

The Lady Cougars face their rivals in a home game next Tuesday against the Russellville Lady Panthers.
