Tuesday was a night for district games for the local teams. The Russellville Panthers and the Logan County Lady Cougars travelled to Todd County and the Logan County Cougars went to Franklin-Simpson. The Panthers ended the night with a 12-2 victory over the Rebels. The Lady Cougars fell 2-0 to the Lady Rebels. The Cougars ended a long fight with an 8-7 loss against the Wildcats.

The Logan County Cougars played a long, close game against the Wildcats. The Cougars would take the lead early with an RBI single by Caleb Bruner, driving Gage Hales home. The Cougars would remain in the lead until the fifth inning of the game.

The Wildcats would get some good hits in the bottom of the fifth and add another run in the sixth inning. The Cougars had lost their lead, as the Wildcats lead 5-1 going into the seventh inning.

In the top of the seventh, Thomas Miller started off the Cougars as he reached base on error. Joe Holiday and Gage Hales would play smart and load the bases early in the inning. Caleb Bruner would be able to drive in Thomas Miller with an in play foul ball. Matt Harper would drive in Holiday and bring Hales and Bruner closer to home. Ian Woodall and Cody Hunt would single to bring in Hales and Bruner to tie up the game 5-5.

The game rolled over into the eighth inning. Gage Hales would make it to home to put the Cougars in the lead again. But the Wildcats were able to match the score up again, as they headed into the ninth inning tied 6-6.

Cody Hunt was able to score on an error in the ninth inning, keeping the Cougars in the game. But in the bottom of the ninth, the Wildcats would get a good hit to drive in runs, ending the game 8-7.

The Cougars will play at home tonight against the Glasgow Scotties. The Russellville Lady Panthers play tonight at Barren County while the Panthers travel to Fort Campbell.
