The new season of Logan County High School volleyball brings several new faces to the Lady Cougar team this year.

The team has been practicing for weeks preparing for their first game, which is scheduled for next week.

Last year the Lady Cougars ended the season with a 27-9 record and finished as runner-up in the Fourth Region Championship after losing to Greenwood.

Head Coach Steven Lyne says the players and coaches are excited for the new year. “We can go as far as they want to take it,” he said.

Lyne added that overall there are a lot of new faces on the team, but they are getting along well.

Lyne says several players have stepped up big and he sees a lot of positive things in the team this year.

The team will kick off the season at home on August 9 against Warren Central.
