Friday night was the homecoming game at Logan County High School. The Cougars took on the Warren Central Dragons and took a hard loss of 60-10. This game brought their season record to 2-7 heading into their last regular season game next week.

The Cougars had a rough start to the game after the Dragons slipped through the Cougar defense to score several times in the first half. The Cougar offense couldn’t put it together in time to leave the Dragons with a strong lead of 53-0 at the end of the first half.

The Cougars would score their only touchdown of the night in the third quarter of the game. Brennan Rostampour had a three yard run the score for the Cougars. Later in the game, Landon Stratton would make an impressive 31 yard field goal to end the game 60-10.

Gage Hales would lead the Cougars in rushing yards with five carries and 28 yards rushing. Taylor Blakemore would follow Hales with one carry and 14 yards rushing. Justin Rone finished the night with 32 yards passing with one interception. Blakemore had three catches for eight yards receiving, Rostampour with 2 catches and 11 yards receiving, and Hales with one catch and 17 yards receiving.

The Cougars will face their rivals the Russellville Panthers at the Clash of the Cats game next Friday at home.
