Martha Jane King held on to her state representative seat, holding off Republican challenger Chris Hightower on Tuesday in the general election.
King won Logan County 5549-4823 and carried Todd County by about 500 votes for a convincing win.
State Senator Joey Pendleton lost both Logan and Todd counties to Republican incumbent Whitney Westerfield, but results were slow coming in from Christian County, which will likely decide that race.
In the local race, all six members of the Russellville City Council were reelected. The top votegetter was Sandra Kinser, who was elected to her second term. The other, in order were Jimmy Davenport, Jack Whipple, Pat Bell, Darlene Gooch and Bill Decker.
Donna Blake beat incumbent James Wilkersin in a landslide for the mayor of Adairville. She won 277-88. The new Adairville city council will be Becky Tinch, Bill Steen, Brent Johnson, Danny Finch, Art Violette and Michelle Trimble.
Mike Hughes will be the new mayor of Auburn. He got 364 votes while Wayne Thomas got 118 and Maxie Rittenberry received 26. The new Auburn city council will be Steve Montgomery, Rex Evans, Shane Johnson, Norma Kutzman, Jessie Duer and Bobby Price.
For President of the United States, Mitt Romney easily carried Logan County with over 65 percent of the vote. Barack Obama received about 33 percent of the vote.
