The Logan County High School football team is preparing for the new season to begin.
Last week the team attended camp at Campbellsville University and according to head coach Dain Gregory, it was a success.
“At camp they got a lot closer as a team and got better at what they needed to do to be successful,” said Gregory. “We’re a lot bigger, stronger and faster as a whole. They all have gotten stronger physically and have gained confidence.”
Senior offensive and defensive tackle Dylan Givens says there is a lot of enthusiasm and intensity in practice that has been good.
“Our team has matured and has become more experienced,” said Givens. “We are working more on our fundamentals more than previous years.”
Senior linebacker Aarron Baldwin says that the team has made a lot of improvements and they are speeding things up.
“We are more adjusted to the coaching style. We know what is expected of us,” said Baldwin. “We’re also learning the fundamentals of life. The game teaches you a lot and they focus on that.”
Baldwin says overall the attitude of the team is a lot better than past years and they have got the fundamentals down.
Logan County opens the regular season on Aug. 17 at home against Butler County
