For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. Titus 2:11-12 KJV

The world-famous radio personality Paul Harvey was known for his words of telling the rest of the story. The implication was that only part of the story had been told, but he had the rest of the story.
This is the problem with modern-day preachers who have caved to the culture and left the scriptures.
They do not preach all of God’s word to their people. our text explains what I mean. The first part of our text is glorious. It tells us how that the grace of God brought salvation to us. Some say they found the Lord.
This is not true. God found us.
The natural man cannot receive the things of God, for they are foolish to him. Until God breaks our will and saves us there is no hope for us. Preachers talk much of grace and salvation.
The hireling preachers never seem to make it to Titus 2:12. This verse is the rest of the story. This grace that god brought to us is also a teaching grace.
if you are saved, that same grace will teach to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. Things such as filthy music, dirty movies, mixed swimming, immodest clothing, filthy speech and an unholy walk are to be denied by the child of God.
We are told in God’s word to not be conformed to this world. The lust of our old man is strong and we are pulled on every side to be conformed tot he secular thinking of this world.
Grace will teach saved people to avoid things that are not godly. Even if there is not a specific verse against it, grace will teach you the principle that is taught in scripture.
