On Thursday Logan County High School and Russellville High School will host the FSNB Christmas Classic Basketball tournament. The tournament is hosting eight teams and will begin on Thursday and end with championship games on Saturday.

The Russellville Lady Panthers will play at 6:00 p.m. at Russellville High School. The Lady Panthers will face the Lady Storm of Hopkins County Central. The Lady Panthers have started their season with a record of 2-5 with wins over Warren East and Springfield, Tenn.

The Logan County Lady Cougars will play at 6:30 p.m. at Logan County High School. The Lady Cougars will face the Lady Raiders from Iroquois. The Lady Cougars have a 2-7 record for the season with wins over Hopkins County Central and Kilsyth Australia.

The Russellville Panthers will play on their home court at 7:30 p.m. and will face the South Warren Spartans. The Panthers head into the tournament with a 4-5 record for the season

“I think that we need to play better than our record. We need to learn how to win close games. This tournament is going to be tough with some good teams. I think we are the smallest team but we’re going to play these different teams with different styles and we are going to learn from them and improve,” said head coach Phil Todd. “As far as coaching, we need to do a better job at getting them ready to play physically and mentally and push our boys everyday and work this region. We are going work hard and improve as individuals and as a team.”

The Logan County Cougars will play at 8:00 pm. at Logan County High School. The Cougars will face the Tigers from Caldwell County. The Cougars have started the season with a 2-6 record after their close loss to Barren County last Thursday.

This tournament will follow with the first Clash of the Cats double-header next Friday at Russellville High School.
