The 17th Annual Red River Camp Meeting and Rendezvous will be held on the historic grounds of Red River Meeting House and Cemetery, near Adairville, Ky. on Oct. 12-14. History lessons will be at 2 p.m. each day. A benefit auction on Saturday at 1 p.m. and church services are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. with an 18th century communion service on Sunday at 10 a.m.
Demonstrations will be at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. A camp restaurant is available on site. The event closes at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Firewood and water are furnished.
These historical reminders come to celebrate the Great Revival along with spending time with good friends and stirring the spirit of God that is brought out throughout the weekend worship.
The Meeting House not only has historical value, being the actual spot where our nation’s Great Revival began in 1800, but also holds an amazing and blessed disposition, surging with spiritual awareness that’s sure to leave you with peacefulness.
The Red River Meeting House is located approximately eight miles south of Russellville in a secluded community called Schochoh.
