Herbert Clyd Seay, 82, of Trenton, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Montgomery, County, Tenn. Oct. 18, 1929, a son of the late Lewis and Lillian Walthal Seay.

Mr. Seay was a retired farmer and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as treasurer. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Korea. He was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Brother Jesse Thorpe and Brother Chris Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, Oct. 12 from 12 p.m. until time of service at the church. Cook-Webb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Cornelia (Connie) Seay of Trenton; his son, Mike Willis (Rita) of Elkton; his daughter, Janice Vaughn (Tony) of Trenton; his grandchild, Jessica Hunt, and his sisters, Faye Delozier and Barbara Crouch, both of Trenton, Marion Seay of Guthrie and Sarah Faulkner from Pembroke.
