Goldie Strickler, 96, of South Union, Ky., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.

She was born in Alexandria, Ky., a daughter of the late Fred Droege and the late Josephine Slater Droege. She was the wife of the late Dewey Strickler.

Mrs. Strickler was a member of the First Baptist Church, South Union Homemakers Club, and Eastern Star #17. She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Ky. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8 from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 9 beginning at 6 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

She is survived by her son, Dewey Strickler (Frances) of Franklin, Ky.; her grandson, Jordan Strickler (Dawn) of Lexington, Ky.; one cousin; several nephews ,and one niece.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin Presbyterian Church.
