Ralph Parnell Knight, 74, of Russellville, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Logan County April 16, 1938, a son of the late Lester J. and Helen Marie Head Knight.

Mr. Knight was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. He worked with Rockwell, Sensus and BTR and retired from Emerson Electric as an engineer and supervisor.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Scott Marshall and Brother Johnny Fuller officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation began Sunday, Sept. 16 from 5-8 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Keith Jones, Glenn Page, Clyde Knight Jr., Tony Young, Aaron Baldwin, Seth Ross and Tucker Baldwin. Honorary Pallbearers were Noble Clarke, Raymond Sanders, Jesse Blythe, Tom Haskins, Hector Ibaro and R. W. Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah Mae Knight; his son, Clifford Knight and wife Patti of Russellville; his daughter, Rhonda Boisseau and husband Tony of Russellville; his brothers, Clyde and Kenneth Knight, both of Russellville; his sisters, Rachel Ross of Martinsville, Ind., and Ruth Mazour of Russellville; his grandchildren, Jay Woodall, Andy Woodall and Kyle Boisseau, and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Logan County Humane Society.
